Soo.. I'm busy packing.. sending my luggages to central tonight.. flight tomorrow.

People usually say people go off to college and they get used to being away from home and they get less and less homesick, coming home less and less often. And then they get used to the lifestyle and the place and tend to stick with that culture and think of HK as just a place they come from. Somehow for me personally, I like coming home more and more. College is still great but I get more and more homesick by semester. I remember last year winter break after two weeks I thought HK was enough and wanted go back. But this year it's different. Just wanna stay home. Probably coz I am holiday =P maybe if I had school or work I wouldn't say the same.

But what a fantastic winter break. Met up with people I haven't seen for, from 4 months to 6.5 years. Watched musicals, dance shows, went out eating everything, drinking, shopping, just sitting down catching up, walking my dog, chilling with my parents, getting massges in China with god parents for prices unimaginable, visiting bro-in-laws fam, celebrating new years and xmas on the street, getting squashed (!!) in MTR..(bloody hell), eating good food..all sorts of good times.

Anyway hopefully I will enjoy this semester. Need to work out more this semester! and study harder! and play golf, and play tennis (molded racket) and perhaps actually practice oboe?

Wow I haven't written a xanga blog for soo long. Since all "personal and dating" websites are blocked at work.. and surprisingly xanga's not.. I'm gonna blog here.

I am at my 5th week at work.. till the 11th of August. Flying back on the 16th!! only 5 days to sleep and shop and eat and drink and not having to wear heels all day. I realised how fantastic it is to go to college and how much better it is than work.. ok I’m really bored so I’m gonna list my reasons

-         You have winter break, summer break, spring break all sorts of breaks but in the working world you only have your weekends and public holidays and those 14 days or whatever you have off

-         You can go to class in PJs with a cap and flip flops and no one would care but for work you have to look decent so you HAVE to wake up earlier

-         You can fall asleep in lectures or even not go to them but for work you can’t

-         You have a life after class but after work.. for me at least I’m too tired to do anything.. your social life is kind of a goner

-         You only have the weekend to do whatever you want, but everywhere is crowded as everyone else is also working during weekdays.. and since places are so crowded you don’t wanna go anywhere

-         When you make mistakes you can’t just laugh it off or just complain about a bad grade.. you might risk losing your job and it’s not easy to find one in the first place

-         You get great dorm life at school.. talking to different people all the time, going to different places, roadtrips whatever.. at work you have one cubicle and you talk to people who you work with.. about work

-         Yes you do get paid for work but at the end of the day, as students most things are paid for, and once you work most of your income is not really disposable.

-         You can’t get a tan except the weekends since you are always in the office.. and if it’s cloudy or rainy during the weekends than too bad..

-         You get to do whatever you want (kind of), try different things, do different minors, take classes in subjects that you never had a clue about before

There are so many more reasons.. now that I am interning I know after 9 weeks I will go back to college.. so it’s not so bad knowing that this will end some time. But what about after graduation? I am just gonna be working and working and working.. when is it gonna end? One thing I know for sure is that I won’t be having 3 months summer breaks..

Humid. Very humid. Stepping out of the cab tonight from central's airport express station was horrifying (not really). I am so used to having breezy, sometimes chilly and dry nights in LA no matter how hot it is during the day. Every breath I take is so heavy and I can feel the moisture in it. Anyway, I will probably get used to it soon.

Can't believe I am done with freshmen year already. Don't even feel like a sophomore at all. Looking forward to the classes I am taking next semester though! For once I am gonna have a break from BUAD classes =)

Finally got to see Toffee again.  Still playful and silly as usual.. but more calm and behaved now since he's a lil over two years old already.

There's so much shit on my bed that I should unpack.. but I guess I am just gonna sweep them all onto the floor and worry about them tomorrow!
